Apple laptops have been using LCD displays for many years. Now Apple has decided to take a big step forward in laptop technology, as Apple MacBook Pro will come out with an OLED display, according to Korea’s The Elec.
The publication claims that this laptop will have an edge-to-edge frameless OLED display.
In 2017, the company already switched to OLED displays for smartphones, starting with the iPhone X. In the future, the company is expected to switch completely to OLED displays. Apple’s MacBook also uses OLED, but only on the laptop’s touchpad, called the Touch Bar. If the information is correct, the new 16-inch MacBook Pro could be Apple’s first OLED laptop.
